Required Documents

To begin the admission process, applicants should provide:

• A completed Admission Application Form

• A copy of the student's Birth Certificate or Passport

• The two most recent academic reports

• A recommendation letter from the student's previous school or educational institution

 

Age & Year Group Requirements

• 5–11 years - (Primary) - International Primary & Lower Secondary

• 11–13 years - (Lower Secondary) -International Lower Secondary (ILS)

• 13–15 years - (Secondary) IGCSE

• 15–17 years - (Senior School) AS & A Level

 

Placement is subject to the student's age, previous educational background, assessment and the school's admission requirements.

 

Early Years & Nursery Programme

Our Early Years programme provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment where young learners can develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

 

Toddler Class | Ages 2–3

Our Toddler Class provides a warm and nurturing introduction to school life. Through play-based, interactive and age-appropriate activities, children develop their social, emotional, communication and cognitive skills.

Our teachers provide individual attention and guidance, helping every child grow at their own pace.

 

Nursery Class | Ages 3–4

The Nursery Class builds on children's natural curiosity through engaging, play-based learning experiences. Learners develop essential communication, social, emotional and early academic skills in a supportive classroom environment.

Our programme encourages children to explore, interact and develop the confidence they need for the next stage of their education.

 

Reception Class | Ages 4–5

Reception prepares children for the transition into primary education through a balanced and stimulating curriculum.

Learners are introduced to key areas including literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity and personal development, while learning through practical and engaging activities.

Our qualified teachers create an encouraging environment where every child is supported to discover their abilities and reach their potential.

 

Primary Education | Years 1–6

Our Primary School programme develops strong foundations in academic knowledge, critical thinking, communication, creativity and personal development.

Students are guided through a structured curriculum designed to build confidence and prepare them for the next stage of their education.

At the end of the primary phase, students undertake international assessments that help evaluate their academic progress and readiness for secondary education.

 

Secondary Education | Years 7–13

At Jalaram Academy, our Secondary School programme follows the British National Curriculum, enriched by our Kenyan context and the needs of our diverse student community.

 

Lower Secondary | Years 7–8

Students strengthen their academic foundations while developing independent learning, critical thinking, problem-solving and effective communication skills.

 

IGCSE | Years 9–11

Students in Years 9–11 follow the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (IGCSE) curriculum. The programme provides a broad and rigorous academic foundation while preparing learners for further studies and future career pathways.

 

AS & A Level | Years 12–13

Our Senior School offers Pearson Edexcel AS and A Level programmes, providing students with opportunities to specialise in subjects aligned with their interests, abilities and future ambitions.

The programme promotes academic independence, analytical thinking, research skills and strong examination preparation, equipping students for university and higher education.
