Senior School

The Senior School curriculum offers a breadth and balance to provide challenges and opportunities for students from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. This prepares them for the finest national and international universities. We offer Edexcel International GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) at the end of Year 11 and 'A' Levels built on AS levels at the end of Year 12 and A2 Levels at the end of Year 13.

International GCSE Students at Jalaram Academy are prepared for a wide range of subjects. Mathematics, English Language and Information Technology are compulsory. Students then choose any additional six subjects from the following: English Literature, French, Kiswahili, Biology, Physics, Geography, History, Art & Design, Accounts, Economics and Chemistry.

'A' LEVEL GCE Students in generally take four subjects at AS Level chosen from: English Literature, French, Mathematics,(Pure Maths and/or Statistics), Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Art & Design, Economics, Business Studies, Accounts and Computing. Three subjects will then be carried on to the full A-Level stage in Upper Form VI. The 'A' Level GCE has strong international credibility as a university entrance examination and Coast Academy graduates can always be found on degree courses at many of the leading universities in U.K, India, U.S.A, and Australia.
